ASCOTT, a world famous serviced apartments provider from Singapore has signed a contract to manage the Citadines Xi’an Xingqing Palace. This property is the third serviced residence in Xi’an. ASCOTT's two other serviced residences in Xi’an are Citadines Xi’an Central, which is currently fully operational and the Citadines Xi’an Gaoxin which will have its opening in 2010.

Citadines Xi’an Xingqing Palace lays in the heart of Xi’an in the Beilin district near the Xingqing Palace Park which is a popular tourist attraction and built on the ruins of a palace which dates back to the Tang dynasty. It is located aprox. 100 metres away from Xi’an Jiaotong University. Citadines Xi’an Xingqing Palace is committed to attract visiting academic visitors, exchange students and exhibition participants who take part in the 200 academic meetings and forums that the university organises each year.

Lee Chee Koon - the ASCOTT’s Managing Director for North Asia -  said:

“As one of the oldest cities in Chinese history, Xi’an has long influenced China’s central-west regions. China’s strong commitment towards developing the western regions has attracted more foreign companies and research centres to establish their represantions in Xi'an.The increasing international presence has brought more business travellers and visitors to Xi'ans already existing large numbers of tourists. As the largest international serviced residence/apartments operator in China, ASCOTT will extend its world class and award-winning hospitality services to even a larger base of travellers and guests in Xi’an.”

Citadines Xi’an Xingqing Palace will offer 160 studio apartments, each with a fully-equipped kitchen, an in-suite bathroom and a separate work area for each guest. The residents can enjoy amenities as well, like a swimming pool and a gymnasium. The property will be open in 2011.
