Die Welle Bookmark and Share

Die Welle ist ein deutsches Filmdrama aus dem Jahr 2008. Darin führt ein Lehrer, gespielt von Jürgen Vogel, seiner Schulklasse in einem von ihm konzipierten Sozialexperiment vor, wie autoritäre gesellschaftliche Strukturen entstehen. Er lässt die Schüler an einer von Disziplin und Gemeinschaftsgeist geprägten Bewegung namens Die Welle mitwirken, deren Anführer er selbst ist. Regisseur und Drehbuchkoautor Dennis Gansel stützte seine Handlung auf das Experiment „The Third Wave“, das 1967 in Kalifornien stattfand. Sein Film lockte in Deutschland zweieinhalb Millionen Kinobesucher an.
